Martin Solveig – Places (feat. Ina Wroldsen)

Having played alongside a star-studded cast of guest artists including Mark Ronson, Diplo, Tinie Tempah and Blonde at his ‘My House’ Pacha residency this summer, Parisian hitmaker Martin Solveig is back to present his new single, ‘Places’ featuring Ina Wroldsen, out today, 25th November via Positiva.

Exploring a fresh new sound for this single, ‘Places’ is a piano-driven track, armed with a bubbling bassline and flowing percussive elements, perfectly complimented by Ina Wroldsen’s sultry vocals. Norwegian singer/songwriter Ina Wroldsen has already made an impact on the global music scene, lending her vocals to Calvin Harris & Disciples’ hit ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ and her songwriting talents to Clean Bandit’s chart-topping hit ‘Rockabye’. Ina has collaborated with several of pop music’s finest, including the likes of Jess Glynne, One Direction, Little Mix & Calvin Harris.

‘Places’ is set to build on the success of Martin’s summer anthem ‘Do It Right’ feat. Tkay Maidza. Appointed a ‘Future Anthem’ by BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, ‘Do It Right’ went on to pick up over 60 million global streams. Elsewhere, ‘Do It Right’ is the soundtrack to the latest Stuart Weitzman campaign, starring supermodel Gigi Hadid, directed by the multi-talented James Franco.

This summer Martin played a string of shows and festivals across in the UK, including Electric Daisy Carnival, Creamfields and Capital FM’s Monster Mashup. He will tonight be performing a special guest set at the DJ Snake party in Paris, followed tomorrow night by a set at the Cream Steel Yard event in Liverpool. Not stopping there, Martin recently remixed Flume’s single ‘Never Be Like You’, as well as spending time collaborating in the studio with a wealth of artists including Oliver Heldens, Clean Bandit, and Tiga.

Martin Solveig’s new single ‘Places’ feat. Ina Wroldsen is out today, 25th November 2016 on Positiva/Virgin EMI.

Martin Jensen – Solo Dance

Martin Jensen returns with gorgeous single ‘Solo Dance’

Breakout success Martin Jensen is back with another hot new track in the form of ‘Solo Dance’, following on from a slew of multi-Platinum singles.

Solo Dance is a blissed-out track, drenched in layers of indie dance female vocals that build to a powerful crescendo. The stomping house feel takes one of his trademark pitch-bending resampled riffs and twists it over on-beat piano chords and effervescent percussion, all packaged together in his deliciously pristine production style. The strong songwriting has tinges of folk in the verses, and the contrasts between these mellow sections, the energy-lifting choruses and the pumping drops makes for a serious addictive listen.

Jensen is truly an artist of his era who utilises social media to create an ongoing dialogue with his fans which feeds directly into the sound of his productions. After scoring a huge viral success with his clever use of a Cristiano Ronaldo vocal snippet in last year’s Sí, he continued to search for unusual hooks and asked his audience to help him choose between 35 different ideas so far.

His last single, the huge ‘All I Wanna Do’, quickly became a key summer anthem, with more than 50 million streams in total and double Platinum certification in Sweden and Platinum in Holland and Denmark. With over 16 million YouTube views to his name and over 2 million Facebook likes, he has amassed a huge following over the course of just four stellar singles. He also became the first Dane in nine years to be voted into the DJ Mag Top 100, the prestigious fan-voted poll ranking the world’s favourite DJs.

Martin Jensen ‘Solo Dance’ is out on 4th November.
